Non-physician providers (NPs, PAs, and RAs) are often under-utilized in radiology practices. The scope of RAs is limited due to current regulations, as compared to PAs and NPs. It is challenging to develop a pro-forma for non-physician providers in an RVU environment when much of their work is not reportable.
